Welcome to Congolese United Foundation

Promoting social inclusion, closing health disparity gaps, and enhancing well-being for strong and prosperous Congolese and African communities.

Introduction

The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has faced prolonged conflicts, political instability, and humanitarian crises, leading to the displacement of many Congolese who sought refuge in various countries, including the United States (USA). Adapting to a new society while addressing immigrants' unique health challenges poses significant challenges. Our nonprofit is committed to facilitating the social integration of Congolese and African immigrants in the United States, specifically addressing health disparities and promoting overall well-being.

The Congolese United Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, focuses on empowering Congolese and African communities. Our mission includes bridging health disparity gaps, promoting social integration, and enhancing well-being. We also strive to improve global health through participatory research and program implementation

Our primary goal is to foster the social integration of Congolese and African communities in the United States. Social integration entails helping Congolese and African immigrants access the necessary resources, support systems, and opportunities to become active and engaged members of their new communities

Our goals

We are here to help integration of the Congolese and African communities

Our primary goal is to foster the social integration of Congolese and African communities in the United States.

We strive to address language barriers by providing language training programs focusing on English proficiency and cultural competence.

Our nonprofit organization aims to provide access to educational opportunities, vocational training programs, and mentoring to facilitate their integration into the workforce.

Navigating the legal system and understanding one’s rights can be challenging for immigrants. Our organization aims to provide legal assistance and advocacy support to ensure Congolese and African immigrants receive fair treatment

Health disparities among immigrants are significant concerns that require special attention. We are committed to bridging Congolese and African immigrants’ health gaps by providing culturally sensitive healthcare services

Many Congolese immigrants have experienced traumatic events during their journey and have been exposed to severe violence and displacement. We prioritize mental health support services to help immigrants overcome their trauma

The Congolese United Foundation is committed to advancing environmental protection and sustainability as a cornerstone of our mission.

Promoting participatory research and program implementation is a cornerstone of our organizational philosophy. At the heart of this commitment is the belief that involving communities in the research process and the implementation of programs leads to more effective, culturally responsive, and sustainable outcomes.
